Public Share Link

A share link lets you share your timeline in read-only mode with clients, collaborators, or external vendors — they don’t need a Nimoo account to view it.

  1. Click the “Share” button in the top-right of the timeline
  2. Click “Generate link”
  3. The system creates a unique share URL and displays it in the panel
  4. Click “Copy link” to paste it anywhere — email, messages, wherever

Setting password protection

If you don’t want just anyone with the link to see it, add a password:

  1. In the share panel, toggle on “Password protection”
  2. Enter the password you want to use
  3. Confirm — the password takes effect immediately

When someone opens the link, they’ll see a password prompt before accessing the timeline. Password protection only affects link access — it doesn’t affect anything inside Nimoo for you.

Changing or removing the password

  • Open the share panel and click “Change password” to set a new one
  • Click “Remove password” to turn off password protection and make the link publicly accessible again

What recipients see

When someone opens a share link, they get a read-only view:

  • Full timeline with all stage names, dates, and segment structure
  • No ability to edit anything
  • No access to version history or any editing features
  • No visibility into your account info

The read-only view syncs in real time with your timeline — if you make changes, they’ll see the latest version on refresh. If you want recipients to see a fixed version, save a version snapshot first, verify it looks right, then share the link.

  • To invalidate an existing link, click “Reset link” in the share panel — the system generates a new URL
  • The old link stops working immediately after reset; anyone who had it can no longer access the timeline
